Mark Baker is a Board Member for Celebrate Freedom Foundation
Born at the old Moncrief Army Hospital at Fort Jackson, Mark has lived in the Columbia/Lexington area his entire life.
After attending Dreher High School, Mark received his BS in Business Administration from The Citadel in Charleston, SC. He has worked for the SC Comptroller General’s Office where he was responsible for more than 100 state agencies accounts along with working on putting together the State’s Annual Fiscal Report. He was worked for a local hardware store before spending 19 years with BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina as a government cost accountant, supervisor, manager and director. Working with BCBSSC, Mark worked on numerous federal, state and private company proposals and was a key member of the business development teams associated with these proposals. He has over $1+billion in government contract wins for Tricare, Medicare and Medicaid.
Upon leaving BCBSSC, he opened his own business working to support small businesses in their back office systems to include bookkeeping. He also owns and manages a full time travel agency.
Mark is married to Lisa from Lexington and has two children, Daniel and Maggie along with a grandson, Atlas. Mark and Lisa currently reside in Lexington, SC.
