Melissa Robbins is the Corporate Secretary of the Celebrate Freedom Foundation.
Melissa Robbins (Missy) grew up in Altoona, Pennsylvania, where her family relocated following her father’s retirement from the United States Army. After attending Pennsylvania State University for two years, Melissa chose to continue her family’s tradition of service by joining the U.S. Army alongside her sister.
Melissa proudly served six years in the Army as an Administrative Specialist and four years as an Army Reserve Automated Logistical Specialist in Pennsylvania. Among her assignments, her time stationed in Panama with the Jungle Operations Training Battalion (JOTB) remains one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of her military career.
Following her military service, Melissa built an extensive background in administrative operations and organizational support, working with organizations including the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) in the Education Department and The MITRE Corporation in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional development, Melissa earned certifications in Medical Sterilization, Pre-Health Care, and Pre-Respiratory Care, along with an Associate of Science Degree in Human Services with Honors from Midlands Technical College. She later completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Services in 2018 and is currently pursuing an Associate of Science Degree in Business Management through Pennsylvania State University World Campus.
Melissa and her family established their home in Chapin, South Carolina, in 2010 following her husband’s retirement from the U.S. Army. She is the proud mother of two sons, Anthony and Aiden. Her oldest son is a graduate of The Citadel with a degree in Criminal Justice and currently serves as a South Carolina State Trooper while also serving in the South Carolina Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer.
Her youngest son keeps Melissa actively involved with school activities, marching band events, and karate, where he has earned his second-degree black belt. He is also a regular volunteer at CFF with goals to earn his pilot’s license for both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. Melissa is also the proud grandmother of two granddaughters and one grandson, all of whom she greatly enjoys spending time with and spoiling whenever possible.
Through her military background, educational accomplishments, and dedication to service, Melissa brings a strong commitment to supporting veterans, youth education, STEM initiatives, and community outreach through her work with the Celebrate Freedom Foundation.
